Hereafter

This was a collaborative branding project we designed for our DVC 2 Speculative Design Showcase. A part of the showcase was splitting up into teams to tackle the branding, wayfinding (each designer’s exhibition spots and navigation for guests), social media, and photography. I chose to be a part of the branding team and took on being one of the team leads. I did various tasks as both the leader and a member of the team. In addition to keeping everyone together, on track, and organized, I designed the postcards that were sent out to local design agencies and passed out to advertise the showcase, stickers for takeaways, and assembled the typography that was used throughout the material designed by branding, social, and wayfinding. We landed on hereafter as the name. Hereafter references the contrast between the present (here) and the possible future (after), and our theme focused on duality. Choosing this route encompassed the concept of speculative design while also making room for everyone’s project. Some of us went more apocalyptic with our futures, while others focused on a more positive future.
